日本産上摺・伊勢早(Isehaya/Uwazuri)in Japan

Used for suriurushi (摺り漆, a type of Urushi sealant), Hukiurushi (拭き漆, a technique for showing off wood grain to its fullest by applying clear lacquer to the wood surface and then wiping it away), and roiro polishing (a finishing technique that creates a shiny, smooth, mirror-like effect), as well as a sealant for powdered precious metals in maki-e (蒔絵) and kintsugi (金継ぎ).

Ranges from hatsuhen (初辺, early extraction, extracted from June to mid-July) to sakarihen (盛辺, heavy extraction, extracted from mid-July to late August). This Urushi dries quickly, and has excellent strength.
